Six D cell batteries will certainly add to the overall weight. I have read that the gun can’t operate without the batteries and some people used AA batteries instead to help reduce the weight.  It was also noted that doing so reduced the firepower of the gun.

The popularity of Nerf is clearly reflected in this toy dart gun.  Jamming doesn’t appear to be an issue.  The realistic features and sounds are appealing to children.  A big attraction is that because the darts are foam, it doesn’t hurt when someone is shot with the toy dart gun.

Kids will do a lot of running with this toy. This is a great way to get your child away from the TV or video game system and actually engaged in a fun activity that will help contribute to their fitness in a positive way.

This gun is not designed to be used indoors.  The darts ejected from the gun fly to an approximate range of 25 feet to 30 feet.

Are there any problems?  One problem is that some feel the shield gets in the way of the shots.  There is a way to adjust it, which might prove to be helpful.  Another problem is that one of these toy guns does not appear to be enough.
